Montana Farmers Helping to turn Split Pea Soup into Dietary Supplements

Pulse crops are one of the fastest growing segments in Montana’s agriculture industry. They’re also very healthy for people making them popular for health conscious shoppers. And for one Montana company, they’re excited to be using Montana yellow peas to help people lose weight.

The Northern Ag Network’s Russell Nemetz was on hand at All American Pharmaceutical in Billings, MT on September 28, 2015 when the first shipment of yellow peas arrived from J.C. Crowley, an eastern Montana farmer, who has been growing pulse crops for about 20 years.
