The Informed Manufacturer program was developed to minimize the risk of banned substance contamination within the facilities that manufacture and supply sports nutrition products and ingredients. Certification allows third-party manufacturers to clearly communicate to their customers - the sports supplement brands - that their facility meets high-quality control standards and has been assessed to minimize the risk of contamination with banned substances.

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are guidelines that provide a system of processes, procedures and documentation to assure a product has the identity, strength, composition, quality and purity that appear on the product label. These GMP requirements are listed FD&C Act section 520(f).

NPA and UL have developed a co-branded, dietary supplement-specific badge logo program for dietary supplements. The use of both the NPA and UL marks in its co-branded partnership are only available to companies certified under the NPA GMP standard with audits conducted by UL Registrar LLC.

This facility has been audited by UL Registrar LLC and meets GMP requirements listed in RCP, NBCP, or Pharmaceutical, (NPA) Certification Schemes which is uniquely accredited by the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) developed in accordance with applicable sections of the FDA’s code of federal regulations.
