We are not debating vaccine safety or efficacy. It’s very clear by the formation of the US Government’s tax-dollar-backed Vaccine Compensation Program there are potential adverse effects. The lack of transparency about vaccines and their adverse reactions sends parents searching for the real risk/reward information and they fall prey to an emotionally charged argument. They just want the information to make a good choice for their child. No one doubts many vaccines provide amazing benefits. But hiding the real potential adverse effects denies parents of their right to informed consent. It’s time for the FDA to start treating vaccines like other pharmaceuticals. That’s all we’re asking.
